Elsewhere welcomes email submissions of poetry, fiction, and literary or pedagogy essays from September 1 to May 1. If you submit outside of the reading period, your email will be deleted/unread.

We’re amenable to book reviews or interviews, but please query first with a brief CV. Send your query to editor_at_elsewherejournal.org.

In the subject line of your email, include the genre you are submitting followed by your last name.

Response times may vary, but our goal is to inform you of our decision within two months of receipt of your submission.

Poetry
Send 3-5 poems (no more than 10 pages total). At the moment we’re especially interested in long poems or sequences. Send poetry submissions to poetry_at_elsewherejournal.org.

Fiction
1 story, no more than 5,000 words. Send fiction submissions to fiction_at_elsewherejournal.org.

Literary Essays
1 literary essay, no more than 5,000 words. Send literary essays to essays_at_elsewherejournal.org.

Pedagogy Essay
